According to Ephraim's Civil War record, they were married near Wattsburg. It is not known why Celinda was in the Wattsburg area. Ephraim and Celinda were married by Bryan S. Hill, Minister of the Gospel and the ceremony was witnessed by A. E. Reynolds (Addison Reynolds) and Ruth A. Reynolds.

  Elwin Andrew was born and raised on a farm near Wattsburg, Pa, and took up farming when he grew to manhood. In later years he became a carpenter, and was employed by the Pennzoil plant in Rouseville, Pa. He lived in Titusville on South Perry Street for about 30 years before his death. Services were held from his home at 524 South Perry Street where his daughter, Mary, continued to live. He was named Executor of his mother's estate. -- M. J. Hill, and that neither she nor Ephraim had been previously married. She cannot provide documented proof of her marriage, because Rev. Hill has died and, according to Hill's wife, he did not keep records. Ruth A. Reynolds, Charles A. Bisbee, Curtis C. Bisbee and others testify that they were present at her marriage and confirm the date, place and by whom.
