- "Wattsburg, June 18 (1941) ...The rooms on the north side of the home of Mrs. Nettie Hurst are being cleaned and papered so they can be used for living quarters by Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Conant, recently married. - OBITUARY, Erie Daily Times, Saturday, 12 August 1978 "Dorothy M. Conant, 56, of Main St., Wattsburg, died Thursday at Union City Memorial Hospital. She was born in Erie, on January 23, 1922, the daughter of Mrs. Mabel Carlston (sic) Hall and the late Harold Hall. She lived in the Wattsburg area her entire life. She was employed as an inspector at Elgin Electronics Company, Waterford, for 17 years. She was a member of Post 105 American Legion Aux., North East, the V.F.W. Aux., Union City, the Ladies of the Moose, Union City, and was secretary of the Union City-Wattsburg bowling league. Besides her mother she is survived by her husband, Raleigh C. Conant; to wons, Ronald H. Conants of Wattsburg and Donald R. Conant of Union City; one daughter, Marilyn E. Conant of Columbus, Pa.; one brother, Gerald Hall of Wattsburg; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Zizza, of Reading, Pa.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the C. S. Warthman Funeral Home (Successor to the Musser-Warthman Funeral Home), 69 North Main, Union City, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas J. McLaren of Wattsburg Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Wattsburg Cemetery. Post 105, American Legion Aux., North East, will beet at the funeral home Sunday at 7:30 p.m."
