Real estate, I have none. Personal estate, 2 cows, 7 sheep, 1 swine, a few ordinary and necessary articles of household stuff. I also have a small wagon and horse for which I gave my note, and which I am now owing. Blacksmith, not able [due to] infirmity and age. Chloe, wife, 59, a feeble woman. Nancy, 14, Eliza 10, not able to support themselves. Stricken, $40.52 29 June 1820."

Personal estate, I have one cow, three sheep and one swine and a few necessary utensils in the house for family use and they are old and worn out. I have no income and am poor indeed -- other articles mentioned in a former schedule have been take to pay several small just debts I was owing. Blacksmith, not able [due to] rupture and other infirmities. Chloe, wife, 60, a feeble woman. Aurelia 19 able to do housework. Nancy, 15, able to contribute to her support in part. Elisa, 11, a weakly child, almost helpless. Continued, $22. 4 January 1821."
