- The 1790 US Census for Mass. lists "Jairus Bisbee, Duxborough, Plymouth Co. 1 m. and 1 fem."
Province Orders, General Court, Massachusetts Bay Colony, Third Session, 1753-1754 reads, "Order impowering of Jairus Bisbee and Susannah his wife, showing that they are desirous to sell a lot of land in Duxbury belonging to said Susannah for purchasing lands much more commodius. But for as much as sad Susannah is under age, praying that his court will enable her to sell the same."
"Order that prayer be so far granted that... proceeds to be used to purchase part of homestead of Isaac Wadsworth deceased." Passed Dec. 28, 1753.
"Jairus Bisbee and Susannah his wife of Pembroke, Yoeman and spinster, convey to Elisha Sherman of Marshfield a salt marsh in Marshfield, it being... our honored mother Susannah Fuller's dower...in her first husband Isaac Wadsworth deceased 23 Nov. 1759." [2]
