- Hopestill Bisbey lived in Marshfield; was Constable in 1683. His wife, Sarah, was appointed administratrix of his will on 18 Dec. 1695. Following the death of her husband Sarah married Joseph Lincoln and rendered her account of her former husband's will on 6 Dec. 1696.
The will of William Sherman mentions, "owe Elisha Bisbey 1s. 6d." This the 30 Dec. 1680.
From the Court Records, Governor Hinckley, New Plymouth, 6 June 1686, "Elisha Bisbey sworne and served as Juror in all ye actions." There were nine in all.
Freemen for Marshfield in 1675 included Hopestill and Elisha Bisbey, Peregrine wh Nathaniel Winslow, John Bourne and others. Elisha Bisbey witnessed a deed given by Josias Holmes, recorded by the clerk, Alexander Standish, on 3 Jan. 1681. [2]
