Arthur R. Johnson, 75, retired railroad employe and former Mason Cityan, died Friday at the hospital in Payson, Ariz. When in Mason City he lived at 629 Maryland SE.
Mr. Johnson was born in Carles City, son of Charles and Linda (Johnson) Johnson. He was a fireman and engineer on the Milwaukee Road before his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Cora. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine, by three brothers, Hugh, Clarence and Harold, and by a sister, Mrs. Harold Winterink.
He was a member of IOOF Lodge 224 of Mason City. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The Major-Erickson Funeral Home is in charge.
